Fantasy Values
Auction dollars and draft values for the 2027 season, computed in your browser from OGILVIE's full-season projections. Pick a format, set the league, and the table re-prices every player against positional replacement level.
League format
Each format sets default categories or point weights, roster slots and budget. Every field stays editable after you pick a preset. 5x5 = R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG / W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP. 4x4 = HR, RBI, SB, AVG / W, SV, ERA, WHIP.
Hitter slots
MI = 2B or SS. CI = 1B or 3B. UTIL = any hitter. OF counts all outfield spots together. Position eligibility = primary position, plus any spot where 2026 games + half of 2025 games reach the setting (default 20, so the current season counts double).
Pitcher slots
SP-eligible = projected starter or 5+ GS in 2026. RP-eligible = projected reliever or 8+ relief appearances in 2026. P = any pitcher.
Scoring
Roto formats count the checked categories, each as a z-score against the league's rostered pool. Points formats multiply each projected stat by its weight. HLD is not projected, so it is not offered. CS and HBP allowed are estimated (see How this is computed).
Values come from OGILVIE projections. Playing time (PA, IP) is OGILVIE's projection, which includes expected missed time; a player projected for fewer PA or IP is valued on that playing time.
How this is computed
- Projections. 2027 full-season OGILVIE projections for 518 hitters (projected PA of 120 or more) and 1745 pitchers (projected IP of 20 or more), limited to players with MLB experience or a projected role large enough to count (hitters: 300+ PA; pitchers: 70+ IP). Playing time includes OGILVIE's expected missed time, so injury-prone players carry lower PA and IP. Page frame: 2026-10-25.
- Stats from the model. PA, AB, H, 2B, 3B, HR, SB, BB, K, HBP for hitters; IP, ERA, K%, BB%, HR rate, WHIP for pitchers.
- Estimated stats. R and RBI are fit to Lahman 2015-2025 (PA of 300+, excl. 2020):
R = 0.310×(H+BB+HBP) + 0.624×HR + 0.448×SB -0.0055×PA(R² 0.883),RBI = 1.701×HR + 0.202×(H−HR) -0.021×(BB+HBP) +0.0242×PA(R² 0.859). They use no lineup-slot information. W and L: linear in IP and IP×(4.2−ERA)/9, fit separately to starters and relievers. SV:SV = 2.441 + 0.596×SV(2026)applied to 2026 saves for relievers with 3+ saves, else 0. QS: heuristic from ERA and innings per start. CS = 0.28 × SB. Pitcher HBP = 1.1% of batters faced; batters faced = 4.3 per IP. Pitcher K, BB and H are derived from K%, BB% and WHIP. - Roto value. For each checked category, count stats use the player's total; AVG, OBP, ERA and WHIP use marginal contribution (for example, hits above the pool's AVG × AB). Each is converted to a z-score against the rostered pool, dividing by the square root of (pool variance + average sampling/role-noise variance), because real standings spread includes luck and role changes: this lowers the weight of ERA, WHIP, W and SV relative to K, HR and similar. Each category's z is capped at ±2.5 so one scarce category cannot dominate a player's score. A player's score is the sum of capped z-scores. The pool is re-estimated 3 times from the players selected to fill the league's slots. Noise variances: R and RBI 1.5×count, HR/BB/K 1×count, SB 1.3×count+2, AVG 0.25×AB, W 1.6×W+1, ER 0.64×IP, baserunners 1.7×IP, SV 0.12×SV²+2×SV (role loss).
- Points value. Score = sum of (weight × projected stat). Weights are editable.
- Replacement level. Slots (teams × slots per position) are filled greedily by score, scarcest first: C, SS, 2B, 3B, 1B, OF, MI, CI, UTIL for hitters; SP, RP, P for pitchers. The replacement score at a position is the best player eligible there who was not selected. A player's "vs repl" is score minus the lowest replacement among his eligible positions.
- Dollars. Every roster spot (starters and bench) costs $1. The remaining budget (teams × budget − teams × roster size) is split between hitters and pitchers by the hitter share, then spread across selected players in proportion to vs-repl. Value = $1 + share. Sum of values over all roster spots equals teams × budget; the summary line shows the check.
- Inflation. With "Mark drafted", each marked player is removed from the pool at the entered price (default: his listed value). Inflation = (money left − $1 per open roster spot) ÷ (listed value above $1 of selected players not yet drafted) − 1. Adj $ = $1 + (value − $1) × (1 + inflation). Marking a player does not change replacement level.
- Presets. Ottoneu FanGraphs Points hitting weights (AB −1, H 5.6, 2B 2.9, 3B 5.7, HR 9.4, BB 3, HBP 3, SB 1.9, CS −2.8) and pitching weights (IP 7.4, K 2, H −2.6, BB −3, HBP −3, HR −12.3, SV 5) are from FanGraphs' published tables. The ESPN preset uses ESPN's published head-to-head defaults (TB, R, RBI, BB, SB at 1; K at −1; IP 3, W 2, L −2); the pitcher K, H, ER, BB and SV weights in it come from an older ESPN default. The generic preset is not any site's default. Check your league's own settings.
- Limits. Position eligibility counts 2026 games plus half of 2025 games (default 20); 2026 games are incomplete in the source database, so 2025 carries much of the weight. OGILVIE caps projected PA near 648. Saves come from 2026 usage, not a depth-chart forecast. Values are not adjusted for keepers, contracts or league-specific position rules beyond the slots above.
